Pilates Duets

We are currently building a duet class program. Eventually as the student base and instructor pool allows, we will integrate the full Pilates program, as described below.

To sign up for duets, please contact Hallie via email or text. Let her know if you are a beginner or experienced on equipment, what your ideal availability is, and if you need her to find you a partner, or if you already have one.

Pilates. What the heck is it?
"If it isn't hard, it isn't Pilates" is a common saying about Pilates. Pilates provides you with whole-body muscle control and awareness. By finding your true core strength, and building from there, it's amazing how quickly you feel improvement:
- Less back pain
- More joint mobility
- Better balance
- More power and precision
- More general ease

What do you guys do best?
Finding your core muscles often
requires muscle release--the relaxation of "fight or flight" muscles that many of us use habitually. We help you identify inefficient movement habits and replace them with core-activating adjustments. You will find muscles you never knew you activated constantly, and release them. You will also find atrophied muscles that have laid dormant, usually intrinsic/core muscles, and activate their power.

What is so special about this training method?
Awareness training, the secret sauce to this method, gifts you with the ability to self-assess your habits. You will be able to be your own correction-device by learning to feel your way to core-focused movement. When you effectively stabilize through
your true core muscles, and consequently, you mobilize every inch of your muscular tissue, activating the muscle fibers of your powerhouse's potential. Pretty soon, you will be adjusting into your core power all day long, not needing us or anyone else, because you can sense when your movement is off and adjust.

Does developing "true core strength" reduce back pain?
Yes, you will be able to move with less pain. You will feel your movement grow grounded yet free, released yet focused, controlled yet light. Yes. Yes. Yes. Core muscles lift pressure off of your spine and redistributes your weight into the proper places. The more you have the better you feel.


How many sessions will it take?
Joe Pilates believed that ..."after 10 sessions you feel different, after 20 sessions, you look different, and after 30 you are different. "Feeling different" is the learning curve that takes some practice, as you integrate new movement principles into your body. Never fear-- we are more than movement specialists, we are your coach and cheer squad.

If you are ready to begin, we suggest that you book 5 sessions and take advantage of the introductory 5 pack of solo sessions. Do you have questions? Then we suggest that you book an introductory session. At the end of the session, you may choose to roll that payment into the introductory 5 pack offer.


SERVICES:
PILATES CORE TRACK: Solos, Duets, Trio Classes


Pilates Solo Session, 55 minutes
Build strength, body awareness, core efficiency and powerful, aligned movement through individualized work with an instructor, one-to-one.

Pilates Duets, 55 minutes
These sessions are semi-private instruction. This option is for friends, family, and/or colleagues that want to team up for their physical education. Like solos, duets (and unlike trio classes) may be booked online at anytime during scheduling hours.

Pilates Trio Classes, 55 minutes

Build strength, body awareness, core efficiency and powerful, aligned movement in the presence of other like-minded students. Booked like a class, you can switch your trio booking dates individually, on a drop-in or regular basis. PRE-REQUISITE: Solo 5 pack and an Introductory workshop of completion, or owner approval.

Pilates Workshops

Basic- This workshop is designed to give you all the equipment training needed to participate in trio classes and safely operate Pilates equipment independently. It is also designed for you to create a workout list, your favorite and most effective exercises, which you can take with you into trios and independent gym sessions. Sign up online for a scheduled workshop (not a drop in class) to qualify for trio classes and studio memberships.


Discount Cards
5 Pack cards are discounted by $25 and can be purchased for Pilates services, but technically are available for every service, including massage, no matter what it is originally purchased for!

SERVICES
PILATES PRESCRIPTIONS TRACK

PRESCRIPTION SOLO SESSIONS, 55 minutes 
This session is designed for people who need an alternative to or post-care program after physical therapy. These sessions are highly specialized for folks whose needs won't fit the core track. Likely situations include:  post surgery, injury recovery, Parkinsons, osteoporosis, sports specific injuries and more.

PILATES-MASSAGE SESSIONS, 90 minutes
Anyone can enjoy these sessions that combine a Pilates workout followed by a massage. Prescription or core track, everyone can benefit from massage after a training session!
