Does Your Insurance Cover Massage?
MI cannot accept new insurance patients until further notice. Why? Insurance processing takes, on average, one hour of paperwork for every hour of patient therapy time. This includes billing paperwork, but also referral tracking, commissioner reports, appeals, and claims collections. All of these related and required work is not billable.

What is In Network?
This means that your insurance offers you the best discounts for massage-- low copay or coinsurance costs, and often a waived deductible. At your massage sessions, you pay the copay/co-insurance and Hallie submits the paperwork.
What is Out of Network?
This means your insurance offers discounts for massage that are lower than paying the therapist's full cash rate. Sometimes in and out of network benefits are identical, so make sure to check your benefits. After your sessions, you ask for a superbill and you submit it for reimbursement.
