A NOTE FROM HALLIE

       As a dancer, I need to be comfortable in my body at all times. I have learned to find a dynamic balance of stamina, stability, and mobility. But too much stress disrupts this balance, and causes a dangerous cycle of tension that is hard to shake. This cycle is my greatest obstacle as a dancer.

      I have discovered that a somatic approach to exercise and healing prioritizes the feeling of ease. Feeling my movements (versus thinking about how stressed I am) unravels my habitual tensions.

       Somatics means "self-experience". Everyone has access to it, to awareness, regardless of how difficult the task. I focus clients on somatic, sensory-based healing. We offer clients ease while simultaneously building pain-free movement patterns and strong, mobile muscles and mobile joints. The result is a calm, alert mind and healthy, pain-free body. I love to watch people realize how dis-ease turns to strength and effortlessness. It's a magic feeling of grace that becomes second nature..
